Laahs, Beatrice (Marriage - 27 June 1932)
Miss Beatrice Laahs, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Laahs, Sr., of Clintonville, and Alfred Otto also of Clintonville, son of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Otto of Osseo, were united in marriage Monday, June 27th, at 1:30 p. m., in Waukegan, Ill., the Rev. A. C. Bartz, pastor of the Ev. Lutheran church tying the nuptial knot. They were accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Emil Metzger of Waukesha, the ladies being sisters.
The groom is employed in the printing department of the Four Wheel Drive Auto Co. in Clintonville and the bride has been employed as stenographer for the same company the past six and one-half years.
Alfred is a brother of Mrs. Calvin Hills of Abbotsford, and he and his bride have been spending a part of the week in the Hills home. They also visited Mr. Otto’s parents at Osseo.
Al received his first instruction in the art preservative in the Tribune office and for the past four years has been in the print shop at Clintonville.
The bride is a stranger to the people of Abbotsford but we always knew Al was partial to the good lookers and we judge the bride to be a mighty fine young lady, and the newlyweds have our hearty congratulations for a long happy wedded life. We are joined in this wish by the many friends of the groom in this community.
